Turkey Break!

I am currently in the middle of Thanksgiving break, and it's been a fairly boring/lazy one thus far. Besides last weekend, I've been at home pretty much the entire time.

Anyway, I will continue the style that I used in my last post, and start from middle of week eight...

Week 8: I registered for winter courses on Wednesday morning bright and early. I actually logged into the system 25 minutes after the "switch was flipped". I was very lucky and successfully registered for all my number-one courses. Starting December 1, I will be taking FYE II, Writing Seminar, Discrete Math I, Cyber Self Defense, and Programming II. The RHA Haunted Office that week went wickedly well (alliterations for the win).

Week 9: A pretty standard week. It was quite busy considering it was almost the end of the quarter. Running with the Running Club was freaking COLD! The hockey game on Halloween night was awesome--we won!

Week 10: Another normal week. I went to an info. session about becoming an RA next fall. I still have to go through the application process, but the application isn't due until the end of January. My birthday was uneventful--I just had work meetings to go to. Next quarter I work three days a week, instead of four. I'll be working 11.5 hours at ETC and at least 3-4 hours at RHA. Saturday was a 10k trail race at Mendon Ponds with the Running Club. I placed 13th, 2nd in my age group. It was the toughest/most hilly race that I have ever run (but incredibly fun).

Finals Week: RHA put together an ice-cream social on Sunday. Finals week was not stressful at all for me. Alex and I came home Thursday night.

The first weekend that I was home, I was in State College for the Penn State vs. Indiana football game. The weekend was amazing, and I am very greatful to my friend for allowing us to sleep on her apartment floor! Penn State won, of course. It was, however, very wet.

The rest of my break has been uneventful, as I mentioned. I did get a new phone the other day, which will be put to good use. No more dumb TracFone!

Next week, I have Thanksgiving to look forward to, as well as a couple other things. I will update when I have time--possibly over Winter Break. See you then!
