Senior Year!

I haven't posted in here for quite some time, and that's because there hasn't been anything useful to talk about.

There is anything to talk about now, either--except that I wanted to mention school starting on Monday. Sigh.

I guess I'm ready to start the new year, my last year of high school. My classes are going to be great, and plus I'm just plain tired of working this summer. My summer has been on the downswing for the past four weeks or so.

Cross-country practice has also began again, so my posts will more than likely become less and less frequent for a few months. My sincere apologies (not really).

Books and Kiva.org

I just wanted to take a minute to mention three very awesome web sites that I've discovered in the past few days.

  1. Kiva.org -- Donating your money, but with a twist--you get your money back. How cool is that?! Your money goes directly to the person you choose, they use it for their business, and then repay you. It's like a loan without interest. These people are living in third-world countries and really need our help.
  2. BookCrossing.com -- Most of us have books that we no longer read. What do we do with them? All they do is take up shelf space and boxes. Release them into the wild and let others find them!
  3. PaperBackSwap.com -- Another book web site, the largest used book club in the United States! It's fun, it's free, and I've already received one book, mailed two, and am in the process of mailing out another.
And that is all. Have a great weekend!

(Edited on August 10th to add another web site.)
